Creating a well-designed landscape is both an art and
a science.
A great many factors need to be considered
before work at the drafting table (or in our case, the CAD
station) can even begin.

We think about you.  Who are you and what do you like to
do when you are at home?  Are there children in the house?
Pets?  Do you love to entertain?  Are you a gardener or
would you rather enjoy time in your garden while others
maintain it?  Do you enjoy privacy, peace and solitude or
are you always chatting over the fence with you neighbors?
What are the most important features you want to see in your
landscape and what is your budget?

We think about the architecture of your home.  We take
cues about the garden's style from the architecture of
your
ho
me.  Is it Mediterranean, Victorian, Modern, Craftsman or
another distinctive style?  If it has no specific style we try to
give the house and its landscape a unique identity using the
tools available to us: stone, wood, plants, water, fire, light,
color, texture, fragrance.

Then we go a little deeper.  We think about light and the
way it interacts with the natural world to create beauty.  We
think about harmonizing the colors and textures of the
house, the hardscape and the plants.  We think about
seasonality and the beauty of the garden in all seasons.
We think about supporting native wildlife, the ecology of the
garden and its place in our greater environment.

Most importantly, our designs don't just look good on paper,
they are buildable and easy to live with.  They add value to
your home, property and lifestyle.
